Warriors’ Pose is an initiative to help activists, feminists, and those of GSRM (Gender, Sexuality and Romantic Minorities) combat the burn out that comes with fighting for equality and understanding.
As an activist myself, and in a sense a “Warrior” for peace and justice, I have seen and been the victim of the countless Facebook debates that end up in something along the lines of “if you don’t understand my position, I’ll have to defriend you”. This “defriending” is an act of self-care for many activists, but it isn’t the only way, and shouldn’t be the only way, that we as activists take care of ourselves. We need to come back to loving ourselves so we can keep loving our activism.
